The reception will be at the airport in Iquitos, transfer and have a brief walking tour through the streets getting to know some of the most important places (according to arrival time). Then we go to the port to board the boat and sail the Amazon river in houseboats'll watch (Belen), and different villages that stretch along the banks of the Amazon, we will stop at a fish pond . The Paiche (Arapiama gigas). It's one of the oldest and largest freshwater fishes in the world (they average around 7 feet).During the trip you will also see Cayman alligators and the Victoria Amazonica, the largest water lily in the world, whose leaves reach up to 3m in diameter. Upon our arrival at the botanical lodge we'll refresh ourselves with a welcoming drink made of seasonal fruits and get our room assignments.
We'll then take a walk along the medicinal plants path, where we'll observe and learn about Cat's Claw plant, Dragon's Blood (a sap from the Croton tree), Clove Vines, and other plants prized by local tribes for their curative properties. We have a typical lunch and then relax.
About 3:00pm we will have a brief walking through the jungle to reach the Yaguas Native Community, know their customs, habit, way of life. Participation of tourist to use the blowgun.
