Detailed Itinerary: Day by Day

DAY 1: Cusco – Cachora – Rosalinas

We will pick you up from your accommodation at 4:00 am in our tourist transport and head towards the town of San Pedro de Cachora, a journey that takes approximately 4 to 5 hours. Along the way, we will be able to appreciate the archaeological complexes of Tarawasi and Saywite, and we will be accompanied by the Apurímac River.

We will have breakfast in the district of Curawasi and stock up on some food for the trek. Upon arriving in the town of Cachora, we will begin our hike towards the Choquequirao archaeological complex. The trail will take us to Capuliyoc, where we will make a stop to rest and have lunch. We will then continue the hike to the first campsite located in Rosalinda.

DAY 1: Rosalinda - Cachora – Cusco

On this day, we will get ready and enjoy our final breakfast before starting our journey back to the town of Cachora. There, a delicious farewell lunch will be waiting for us. Afterward, we will take transportation back to the city of Cusco.

Optional: We may visit the Conoc thermo-medicinal hot springs, which are located along the way back to Cusco.

DAY 2: Rosalinda – Choquequirao

This will be the most physically demanding day of the trek. We will wake up very early to have breakfast and get ready to begin our journey. The trail follows a zigzag path with a steep incline, surrounded by the valley’s diverse flora and fauna.

Upon reaching Marampata, we will enjoy a delicious lunch and take some time to rest. We will then continue our hike to the Choquequirao archaeological complex, where our second campsite is located. You will have the afternoon free to explore and take photos of this incredible site. In the evening, we will have dinner and rest.

At the indicated time, we will return to the campsite. Along the way, we will have lunch in Santa Rosa and continue to Rosalinda, where we will camp and have dinner.
