Peru has many archaeological finds, Inca, pre-Inca, colonial and republican constructions, many of them today are located among the most incredible tourist destinations in the world, like: “Machu Picchu”. But let´s not forget that Peru is much more it has a lot of wealth, such as huge waterfalls, beautiful and warm beaches, spas, huge grassy bays, emblematic archaeological centers, lush exotic jungle with a lot of flora and fauna, really wonderful places that not even the human mind would have imagined. A unique country, undoubtedly!

Natural beauties


Without question, all these attractions are the presents of Mother Nature, gifts that not all countries have. Peru is a privileged country because of the geography it has, which makes so many natural wonders exist, what makes, places that amaze anyone. Today some of the most important natural tourist destinations in Peru are:

Titicaca Lake


Considered, the highest and most navigable lake I the world. Its origin is as mysterious as ancient; it is 3 million years old. It certainly contains an immense cultural, animal and plant wealth.
Its extension is 8,562 Km2 and more than 25 rivers pour its waters into the lake. Not all lake belongs to Peru, 44% of Lake Titicaca belongs Lake Titicaca belongs to Bolivia   and 56 % belongs to Peru. Its depth reaches 107 meters. It also houses 36 islands, in some of them there are families that still reside preserving their tradition from the Inca Empire.
Lake Titicaca, has a lot of mystery and has many legends. During the month of October of the 2002 year an expedition was made up of the divers of the navy and experts in Peruvian oceanography, during this expedition we found remains of what could be a lost city under water.

Amantani Island

This natural wonder is 3 hours of sailing by boat from the city of Puno, within this remote island reside more than 3,800 families, its main activity is agriculture and livestock.

Huayllay Stone Forest

The stone forest of Huayllay, presents its numerous and countless rock formations. According to an investigation, within its area of 6,000 hectares, it protects more than 4,000 rock formations, including gigantic human profiles, such as the walker and the thinker. Animals like the turtle, alpaca, condor, elephant, zebra, penguin, dog, snail and more. This Stone Forest is currently protected since 1974 by the Huayllay National Sanctuary. 
This attraction is located in the District of Huayllay, Province and Department of Pasco – Peru.

Amazon River

The Amazon River is considered one of the most impressive natural attractions in the world. It is also considered as “the largest and longest river in the world”. Among its waters, it protects more than 2,000 species of pests. The Amazon River is also the way of communication of millions of residents who live in the communities within the jungle and who navigate its waters.

The Amazon River is born in the snowy peaks of the province of Caylloma, in the department of Arequipa. It crosses through South America starting in Peru, Colombia and Brazil. To cross the Amazon River, the starting point is Iquitos. Today, tourists enjoy traveling through this deep and mighty river on luxurious cruises, with the best amenities, while learning about biodiversity and all the species that live in the water and in the surroundings of this majestic Amazon River.

Huascaran National Park 

The Cordillera Blaca de los Andes” is a natural  área protected by The Huascaran National Park. It is located in the department of Ancash and covers some parts of the provinces of Recuay, Huaraz, Carhuaz, Yungay, Huaylas, Pomabamba, Mariscal Luzuriaga, Huari, Corogo, Sihuas and Bolognesi.
The Huascaran National Park Has an area of 340,000 hectares and its snowy peak is considered one of the highest in Peru, with an altitude that exceeds 6798 meters above sea level.
