Detailed Itinerary: Day by Day
DAY 1:
Condor Canyon - Cusco
Our wildlife adventure begins with a morning pickup from your hotel in Cusco at approximately 08:00 a.m., as we set off in our comfortable private vehicle toward the scenic Limatambo Valley on a journey of about 3 hours.
Our first stop along the route is Q’illarumiyoc, a fascinating, lesser-visited Inca ceremonial center dedicated to the veneration of the Quilla (the Moon), where you will admire an intricate moon calendar carved into a massive rock and extensive agricultural terraces offering spectacular views over the Anta Valley. Continuing our drive, we will visit the archaeological site of Tarawasi just before reaching the town of Limatambo; here, our expert guide will reveal the strategic and administrative functions this complex served as an Inca tambo (resting palace) and its subsequent transformation during the colonial period, highlighted by its impeccable, polished stone architecture.
From Limatambo, we take a winding mountain road up to the traditional village of Chonta, where we will enjoy a fresh regional lunch to prepare for the trail. From this point, we embark on a scenic 1.5-hour uphill hike through the Chonta Valley until we reach the Huaco viewpoint, perched dramatically on the edge of the immense Apurímac Canyon.
From this privileged vantage point, you will witness the unforgettable sight of majestic Andean Condors soaring effortlessly in their natural habitat, gliding right past the canyon walls in beautiful contrast with the towering, snow-capped peaks of Salkantay and Humantay in the distance.
After an unparalleled afternoon of wildlife observation and photography, we will hike back to our vehicle and begin our return journey, arriving back in the city of Cusco at approximately 07:00 p.m.

Cusco is a city meant to be explored on foot. Every street holds a story, and as you walk, you feel as though you aren't just "visiting" a city, but rather walking through layers of a living past: the Inca world and the Spanish Baroque, seamlessly blended in stone. That is why, if it is your first time in Cusco, the historic center is one of the best ways to kick off your trip. Additionally, sitting at around 3,400 meters 11,150 feet above sea level, a relaxed stroll helps you acclimate to the altitude, making you feel much better before taking on longer or more demanding excursions.

If you're lucky enough to visit the land of the Incas in June, you'll instantly realize that Cusco brings more to the table than just music, traditional dances, and colorful parades. There’s something else in the air—a rich, savory, and roasted aroma wafting from the main plazas, drawing both locals and travelers to lively, makeshift dining tables.
