Detailed Itinerary: Day by Day

DAY 1: Cusco - Maras Salt Ponds - Moray - Cusco

Morning Pickup & Arrival at the Ranch (08:30 a.m.): Your equestrian adventure begins with a morning pickup from your accommodation in Cusco. We will drive through the changing landscapes of the highlands toward our private ranch located near the colonial town of Maras. Upon arrival, you will meet your professional horse master and be introduced to your well-trained, gentle Peruvian Paso horse.

Saddle Up & Ride Across the Plains: After a brief safety orientation and stirrup adjustment, we will mount our horses and hit the trail. We will ride across the open, expansive farmlands of the Maras plateau, surrounded by jaw-dropping, panoramic views of the Vilcanota mountain range and its jagged, snow-capped peaks.

The Stunning Maras Salt Mines: We will ride along the scenic valley trails toward the viewpoint of the spectacular Maras Salt Mines, nestled on the slopes of the Qaqawiñay Mountain. Here, we will temporarily dismount to explore the site on foot. You will marvel at thousands of ancient, hand-carved stone pools filled with naturally warm saltwater that evaporates under the Andean sun, creating a visually stunning landscape of crystalline white, pink, and brown textures.

Ancient Engineering at Moray & Gourmet Picnic: We remount our horses and continue our smooth ride through traditional villages and extensive quinoa and potato fields until we reach Moray. We will dismount to walk through this fascinating archaeological complex, composed of massive, concentric circular terraces that served as an advanced agricultural laboratory during the Inca Empire. Right in the middle of these breathtaking, peaceful landscapes, you will enjoy a comforting, gourmet picnic lunch surrounded by pure nature.

Return to Cusco (04:00 p.m.): After lunch and ample time to enjoy the serenity of the Sacred Valley, we will say goodbye to our horses. Our private tourist transport will be waiting to take you comfortably back to the city of Cusco, dropping you off directly at your hotel at approximately 04:00 p.m.
