Your adventure starts early with a transfer from Cusco to Ollantaytambo station, where you board a scenic tourist train following the roaring Urubamba River straight into Aguas Calientes.
Upon arrival, take the short shuttle bus ride up to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. Day 1:
Cusco – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu - Cusco
03:00 AM – 03:30 AM – Hotel Pickup & Transfer to Ollantaytambo:
Early morning pickup from your hotel in historic Cusco. Private/shared tourist transport drive to Ollantaytambo train station in the Sacred Valley (1.5 to 2 hours drive).
05:00 AM – Scenic Tourist Train Ride to Aguas Calientes:
Board the tourist train (PeruRail or Inca Rail). Enjoy a 1.5-hour journey featuring panoramic views of agricultural valleys, glaciers, and the lush high jungle border along the Urubamba River.
07:00 AM – Arrival in Aguas Calientes & Shuttle Bus to Citadel:
Arrive at Aguas Calientes train station, meet our representative, and board the Consettur eco-bus for a 25-minute winding ride up the Hiram Bingham highway to the Machu Picchu main gate.
