Detailed Itinerary: Day by Day

DAY 1: La Paz / Copacabana / Sun Island / Copacabana / La Paz

We will pick you up from your hotel in La Paz between 7:00 and 7:30 a.m., and then depart by local bus to Copacabana. The journey takes approximately 3.5 hours, during which you will enjoy beautiful views of the Andes Mountains, known as the Cordillera Real.

Arriving around midday, we will reach Copacabana, home of the Miraculous Dark Virgin of Copacabana, who receives thousands of faithful visitors every day. Here we will enjoy a delicious typical local lunch.

After lunch, around 1:30 p.m., we will board our shared boat to the southern part of Isla del Sol, crossing the waters of the highest navigable lake in the world, Lake Titicaca, on a journey of about one and a half hours.

Once we arrive at Isla del Sol, we will take a short walk of about 20 minutes to the Pilcocaina Archaeological Center, the ruins of a mysterious sacred place dedicated to the worship of Inti, the Sun God and the most important Inca deity. After a guided visit, we will descend along an original Inca path, the stone steps of the Yumani Stairway, to reach the Fountain of Youth.

Later, around 4:30 p.m., we will cross the lake again to return to the town of Copacabana. Upon arrival at around 6:00 p.m., we will board our bus back to La Paz.
