08:00am
You'll be pickeup up at your hotel in Cusco and we'll depart via private tourist-class bus en route to the southern part of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
09:00am
We'll have a guided visit of Tipón Archeological Complex, exploring the beautiful stonework of the Inca ruins and their famous waterworks, whose hydraulic engineering diverts water from a sacred stream 1½km away in the heights of Mt Pachusan, brings it underground at the point where it meets the sun shrine, and then distributes it through channels fitted with control hatches to agricultural terraces and artificial waterfalls.
11:30am
Our next stop will be the Wari ruins of the large Piquillaqta Archeological Complex (Flea City), an exemplary display of Wari urban planning, legendary origin of the princesa Sumac Tika, and thought to have been a ritual facility for ancestor worship.
12:00pm
At approximately midday we'll rest and enjoy a box lunch.
13:30pm
After lunch we'll continue to Andahuaylillas (Copper Field) to visit the Church of San Pedro, famously known as the "Sistine Chapel of America", thanks to the stunningly intricate interior, whose every surface is covered in ornate murals with Amazonian gold-leaf and hidden within its simple and rustic exterior. Numerous 17th century paintings of the Cusco School further establish the church's repuation as a colonial art treasure.
15: 00pm
After San Pedro Church we'll begin the return to the city of Cusco.
16:30pm
Arrival in Cusco, afterwhich you'll be dropped off at your hotel.
