Downhill Biking: Inca Ruins

**Departures at 9:00 or 2:00pm**

8:40am/1:40pm          

You'll be picked-up from your hostel or hotel in Cusco at either 8:40am or 1:40pm depending on whether you have chosen a morning or afternoon tour, and we'll depart in a tourist-class bus for Tambomachay Archeological Complex.

9:00am/2:00pm          

We'll visit Tambomachay, also known as the Inca Baths, observing the ancient waterworks including canals, aqueducts, and artificial waterfalls. After the visit we'll begin our descent by bicycle back to Cusco. Along the way we'll stop to visit Puca Pucara (Red Fort) believed to have been the checkpoint or military control point protecting the entrance to Tambomachay, the  Temple of the Sun, Q'enqo (Labyrinth/Zig-Zag), an astronomical calendar and temple, and Sacsayhuaman, the famous fortress of massive stones. It's an enduring mystery how these stones, some as large as a medium-sized truck, were cut and transported to this sight high above Cusco.

Arrival in the city of Cusco, afterwhich you will be dropped off at your hostel or hotel.
