Detailed Itinerary: Day by Day

DAY 1: Cusco – Poroy – Aguas Calientes

We will begin our journey to Aguas Calientes in the morning (time to be confirmed). You will be picked up from your hotel in Cusco and transferred to the Poroy train station. During the 3-hour and 45-minute journey, you will enjoy majestic Andean landscapes and typical regional crops. Take advantage of the trip to admire the transition into the cloud forest and small traditional villages along the way.

Upon arrival, we will accompany you to your hotel, where you will have a free afternoon to explore the town of Aguas Calientes, visit the museum, discover the butterfly sanctuary, or relax in the hot springs.

At the end of the day, your guide will provide detailed information about the Machu Picchu tour, including departure time and the itinerary for the second day. An experience you won’t want to miss!

DAY 2: Aguas Calientes – Poroy – Cusco

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at the hotel, we will head to the bus station to travel to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. We will board the bus that takes us to the entrance (control gate) of Machu Picchu. At the top, your guide will be waiting to begin a guided tour of approximately 2 hours, visiting the most important sites of the sanctuary.

After the tour, we will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time for lunch and to explore the town. In the afternoon, according to your train schedule, we will board the return train to Poroy station. Our transport will be waiting to take you back to the city of Cusco.
